The Department of Community Mental Health was created in 1978 with the goals of planning, overseeing and coordinating services for individuals with Mental Illness, Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities and Substance Use Disorders and their families. DCMH continues to operate under those same goals and strives to meet new challenges and address the needs of Westchester residents.

This on-line resource directory has been created in the hope that residents and professionals will find it to be a helpful tool to locate the many and varied resources in Westchester County. Assistance is also available by calling us directly at 914-995-5220. More detailed descriptions of our department's services can be found on our main website at mentalhealth.westchestergov.com.

Using this Directory

This directory is designed with streamlined entries to help you find agencies offering the kind of assistance you need. Each entry includes an agency name, address, website, telephone number, hours of operation, ages served, and a brief description of services available. The directory is updated periodically based on agency report.

By choosing the Directory Search tab above, you may search for agencies and/or programs by their full or partial names, service type(s), city or zip code.

By choosing the Services Map tab above, you may search for agencies and/or programs by their location based on an address you type in, a set location you choose on the map, or by clicking the "my location" icon and choosing the service types you would like displayed from the "layers" section. You can also layer bee-line bus routes and stops onto the map. Clicking on any icon will give you detailed information about the agency, program or bus route.

Please note that Crisis and Inpatient Services information can also be quickly accessed using the tabs above.
